Somehow Floating

Violent uproar, the bellowing voice subsides.
Cacophonous echo fills the hall with stale pride.
Dew drop drip from a leaky faucet, cyanide
trailing a river over the counter livid.
Armchair embedded encrusted with silt
while poison pools around a head that is tilt.
Body limpid and loose, lifeless bromide.
Boat drifting down, deep in the liquid.
