Friends

The very ones who claim my essence
have demarcated life in great presence.
To each their own I stand prepared,
for life's greatest desire: to dare.

Dare to make a move,
dare despair.
Dare apprehend the groove,
dare to care?

Struggle, causality, does it make sense,
that life can be really that intense?
When there are chills does business prevail,
or does one sit in smooth intrepid sail?

No. Wrought with energy
in the midst of the sea.
Brain tired and body elated
does consist in one being sated.

Bodies, lost in the lake of the mind,
each one with thoughts to grind.
Body afloat. Clinging to a life preserver,
Finds he is a single observer.

Man's greatest talent, man's greatest flaw:
ability to find oneself in the raw.
