Oh daddy what did you do,
you woke me up so now put me back to sleep!
It must have been your deep voice or the starting engine,
it's early my eyes should not have to peep.

Summer daddy why did you wake me,
when it's not even nine in the morning?
Do you know the things that I could do,
to wake up at five, when there's no learning.

I could paint and sing I would not faint
for truly awake I shall be,
to accomplish all the goals resting on myself
morning is sleepy-time for me.

Oh daddy what have you done,
now I'm awake at AM nine,
and can't seem to sleep because of the sun;
