Falling Again

Here I sit, down by the quay

Come take a seat and hear my plea.

I’m lost at sea

So hard to be…

Since you set me free

Not sure where to go

Getting hard to bare

Mind melts, lost in memories

Smile and I will stare

Up above the world

Refusing to look down

Wandering through you

Within this quiet town

We’ve been here once before

Many years ago

We’re searching yet again for

A sturdy place to grow

My hearts amiss

Needs a kiss

Craves your bliss..

Your heart is in pieces

Surrounded by diseases

I wanna seize it

Size it

Build a wall around it

Stitch you up and

Stretch you out

Table, floor,

More and more

On this roundabout.

Go in circles

Dusk til dawn

How’d we do it

Lines are drawn

Love forever

Sunset strong

Changing Date

And so it comes for all to see

The day you came to set me free

Morning noon we laugh in light

Snuggling up through the night

Changing fate date by date

Ever-longing sideways eight

Fancy dresses what to wear

Guarded greatness do I dare

Soft and sullen sultry grin

Sending you the soul within

I tempt you to my quiet cove

What’s inside the treasure trove?

Underneath a willow tree

Brandishing a shiny key

Place it in the simple lock

Turning once, a tick, a tock

Lift the lid, now you look

Nothing but a single book

Everything I ever thought

And from that day

You were caught

Give Me

 Gimme a rise,

A rouse

A fine thread to feel

Desire to step out of myself

Walk down a hall to a mirror

Stop and stare and gaze deep

Murmur not even a peep

Gimme the light

A torch

A touch and I’ll jump

Forgot I had skin

Forgot I’m within

This feeling perceiving

Faintly fading human form

Barely alive within a storm

Gimme a mask

A face

A something to hide

This thing deep inside

Away from them all

Curled up like a ball

Or else I may fall

Into old habits die hard

Say I should lower my guard

Gimme a reason

A time

An ever long rhyme

To use in my prime

To be yours not mine

Show and tell

Just as well

Change and yell

Change the weather

Even if it’s not forever

Gimme your soul

A toll

A dire dictation

To pass through my heart

To imprint your part

Right from the start

Popped Balloon Now Free Air

A life to live and spiral out

Sense of self, what’s that about?

Who are we to wish and want

Fixed facade, familiar haunt.

Mastered all, mastered none

Remember things all said and done

Days gone by, these years a joke

Memories all but up in smoke

Learning from those past mistakes

Pushing harder on your breaks

Fearing fire that forges on

Mounds of ashes, weighs a ton

Pushing for a lonely life

Feel the empty lonely strife

If alone, how did we meet?

Has there always been a seat

Beside the beast forever bound

By a brain so tightly wound

Trauma tightly ill- compressed

Air sucked out, in space depressed

Lack of life a living’s made

Work until you draw the spade

Peeling layers truth comes out

Still don’t know what life’s about

Peruse persistent education

Stained embodied mind elation

Seconds flow, hive should know

Eventually show your time to go

Great successes granted wishes

Just like average store bought fishes

What’s to learn when life gets easy

Let’s you laze and act sleazy

Dance in circles, rants encroach

Opinions acting warring coach

Giving each to each their own

Staying still, forever stone

Some things you cannot see

They live outside, forever free

Moments spiral up and out

Finding what it’s all about

Staples

 I’m awake and having thoughts

Stuck to my brain,

Going insane

Can’t figure who to blame

Body aching all day

Eyes slipping underground

Beneath the lid mid drive

Sounds pounding round and round

Hollow man,

Jealous of your hollow head

Lay in bed my eyes are red

Faucet running

Stop, I pled

Stare into my soulful light

Share the right to sleep tonight

Drifting slowly out of sight

Yet, tonight, I cannot sleep

Mind’s too deep

From the peak

It’s much too steep

To step a foot, anywhere

But here up on my pedestal

I’m so small and still I shrink

Staples in my mind, I think

Rush

I see moments go by,

the look in your eye

Windfall of emotions merging

Into expression incredulous purging

Days of solemn grace and glory

Taking time, I am imploring

To wait less, be greedy

Forgive me if I seem needy

Grasping what this is

Lapping as waters fizz

Holding on to what I mean

Letting rain shower clean

Feelings come, free to go

Treat life as one big show

Watching time flow on by

Thinking about you and I

Wheels pumped full of air

Gliding together as a pair

Doesn’t it seem inhuman? Yet

Engines hum in union
